Entry #10 My first semester college experience
Now that my first semester of college is coming to an end, I just want to recap on things I’ve learned and how I’ve grown.
Starting the school year was a really impactful moment for me as it signified me starting my adulthood. The college atmosphere is definitely very different from the high school atmosphere. The college atmosphere is definitely more serious. While in high school it can be more layer back.
But my start to college wasn’t that good. I was ahead in the beginning and then started to fall behind in my classes. That’s a type of stress I don’t want to go through again. I was constantly overwhelmed because new assignments kept flowing in and I had to add those assignments to the list as well. So I was basically working overtime because I wasn’t focused in the beginning. This taught me a valuable lesson to take into the future. Especially since I am also a student athlete taking care of my work should be my number 1 priority because without good grades I can’t play.
But overall my first semester of college has been fun. I met new people, got to experience a different environment and a new sense of freedom. I like college and I feel ready to apply all the knowledge I’ve received and apply that into the next semester.
